You’re showing opulence & making merry when Ghanaians are suffering & angry- NDC blast NPP
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and accused it of a show of opulence in its ongoing national delegates conference.
In its solidarity message delivered by the deputy general secretary Peter Boamah Dr.
Otokunor, the NDC said although Ghanaians are facing economic hardship, the NPP and government seem unconcerned.
He said while the government and party are making merry at the conference, Ghanaians are going through misery, general economic hardship, and also angry.
He also posited that the delegates will see the conference as a cocoa season since they will use that as an opportunity to make money from the candidates contesting the internal polls.
According to him, the NPP does not appreciate the need to show any modicum to be sensitive to the people of Ghana in these great times of suffering and pain.
He added that the NPP has only shown signs of incompetence, mismanagement, and corruption despite the over Ghc900 billion they have accrued through revenues and borrowed inflows compared to the Ghc200 billion former President John Dramani Mahama received.
The CPP on its part asked the government to negotiate a favourable deal that will favour Ghanaians as we seek a bailout from the International Monetary Fund.
Other parties including the GCPP, PNC, and APC delivered solidarity messages with a call on the government to negotiate a good deal.
