Yellow Fever: 25 dead, 43,615 vaccinated-GHS

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has provided an update on the current situation on the outbreak of Yellow Fever.

The GHS in its update said 25 persons have so far died from the outbreak in the Savannah and Upper West regions.

Eighteen others are currently on admission receiving treatment.

According to the GHS, it has dispatched 50,300 doses of the Yellow Fever vaccines to the selected districts where the fever has hit.

The distribution is being done with support from the Ghana Armed Forces.

The GHS added that it has vaccinated some 43,615 persons in the Savannah region as part of the vaccination exercise.
