Winning Unsung gave hope to artistes who were losing hope in the North-Teflon

Tamale-based musician, Teflon Flexx has disclosed that winning the Vodafone Ghana Music Unsung category brought hope to several young upcoming artistes in the Northern part of Ghana.

Speaking exclusively on Rainbow Radio Entertainment, Teflon Flexx indicated he is the first artiste to have won the category from the Northern part of Ghana.

He said he felt very great and most of the feelings were about the motivation because from where he comes from, most of the artistes are losing hope.

He said the artistes are pushing, but they lack the support especially financially.

According to him, they [artistes] just trend in the North and not able to breakthrough.

But for him to manage and breakthrough by winning an award from a credible scheme shows that this an opener for his people.

He further disclosed he had to keep his music craft from his father because he would not have supported the idea.

He said it took a friend’s positive comments after a TV interview before his father got to know about his music career.

Teflon Flexx says he wants to inspire the youth of Tamale through his music.
