We’ve arrested Barker-Vormawor for threatening to stage a coup in Ghana-Police

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Mr Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor by the Tema Regional Police Command.

He was arrested following a post he allegedly made on a social media platform to the effect that he would stage a coup himself if the E-Levy Bill is passed by Parliament.

The private legal practitioner was arrested upon arrival at the Kotoka international airport.

The Police said the most from the suspect was a clear statement of intent to subvert the constitution of the Republic of Ghana.

He would be resigned in court on February 14, 2022.
