WEIJA GBAWE: Laptop for IT lessons stolen at MA 3 Basic School

Basic school students at the Weija Gbawe MA 3 Basic School have appealed to the government to construct a computer lab in the school to enhance the teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The students in an interview with Rainbow Radio’s Fiifi Ankomah said, the only laptop which they kept in the headmistress’ office has been stolen.

The students mostly final years preparing for the basic certificate examination said it would be a great relief for them should the MP Tina Naa A. Mensah and the MCE, Mr. Kumo donate to the school some computers to help them prepare for the BECE exams.

The students said the questions set during the BECE, are practical hence the need for authorities to come to their aid and donate to the school to help enhance their knowledge.

”We are appealing to the MP and the MCE to come to our aid. We want them to donate computers to the school to enhance our knowledge since we are preparing for the BECE. The questions are practical, and without the requisite knowledge, you cannot perform, a student said.

Another said: ”we had a laptop, but it has been stolen, We want authorities to help us since we are preparing for our BECE,” another student said.
