We’II addressing challenges confronting municipality-MCE
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Upper West Akyem, Hon. Eugene Sackey has assured residents that challenges confronting the municipality would be duly addressed.
The MCE said he would not say all was well but affirmed efforts were underway to address the water and sanitation problems of residents in the municipality.
He disclosed the municipal assembly is currently constructing Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS Compound) in some areas, and these projects were almost complete.
He said under youth and women empowerment, the key focus is to create jobs and better opportunities for deprived persons.
MASLOC he, explained, has provided support to several women and small businesses in the municipality.
The MCE said he would not relent in ensuring that the challenges confronting the people are minimised.
He noted the government had provided several containers with provisions for persons living with disabilities.
These containers are serving as provision shops, salons, cold stores among others.
He further assured residents of improved security, stability and peace in the municipality.
He commended President Akufo-Addo for his competence in introducing the one district one factory, the free senior school, planting for food and jobs and other policies to transform lives.
