We need 1 million Ghanaians to donate Ghc100 every month towards the construction of the National Cathedral- Board

The Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral has disclosed it was looking for 1 million dedicated Ghanaians who will donate Ghc100 every month towards the construction of the national cathedral project.

Security to the Board., Prophet Kusi Boateng told Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that ”we are looking for 1 million Ghanaians who will commit to donating Ghc100 every month towards the construction of the cathedral. We will appreciate it a lot. Those who can give more than Ghc100 are also welcome to donate”.

He asked Christians to support the project since they may not get this opportunity again to construct the cathedral.

He urged churches across the country to mobilise funds from their congregations to support the construction of the cathedral.

He was hopeful churches in the country got what it takes to mobilise resources to help construct the project.

The building of the Cathedral fulfils a pledge President Akufo-Addo revealed he made to God before winning the 2016 elections.

In 2019, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, said the construction of the National Cathedral is estimated to cost over $100 million.

The estimated 350 million dollar-Cathedral when constructed, would house ‘The Bible Museum of Africa’, ‘The Bible in Africa’, ‘The Old Testament and Africa’, ‘The New Testament and Africa’, ‘Children’s Discovery Centre’, and ‘The Bible Gardens of Africa’.

The economic engines for the Cathedral complex will include a restaurant that seats 365 people, coffee shop, gift shop, meeting rooms, two chapels, and two prayer rooms that could be rented.

It also has catering kitchen for cathedral events, and would permit special events and festivals with a fee, and admission fees for various segments of the complex.

The Cathedral will also have a Bible curriculum created by the museum academic team for use by universities, offer admission for special lectures and symposiums, private guided tours, museum memberships, online gift shop, and banquet hall that can seat up to 300 people for dinners, celebrations, wedding receptions and meetings.
