Voter Registration exercise begins today in 6,788 clusters
The voter registration exercise being organised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has started today [Tuesday, June 30, 2020].
The exercise is ongoing nationwide.
Chairperson of the EC, Mrs. Jeaan Mensa has announced that the registration exercise will be held at 6,788 clusters made up of five registration centres each across the country.
This covers over 33,367 registration centres situated within the country.
It will be conducted in five phases, each phase spanning six days with additional days for mop-up.
The EC says it has deployed over 44,000 staff and over 5,000 technicians for the exercise while 8,000 biometric registration kits tried, tested have also been deployed.
