Veep donates 100 laptops to support UGBS’ 1 student 1 laptop initiative

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has presented 100 laptops to the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).

This was in fulfillment of a pledge Dr. Bawumia made to the UGBS earlier in the year to support the School’s One Student, One Laptop initiative announced by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana.

The one student one laptop initiative was introduced to advance digitisation on campus.

The donation was done yesterday, Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

In his speech, the Vice President said “I was so inspired that that day I promised 100 laptops to the university of Ghana business school, and by the grace of God, I am presenting the laptops to the School today.”

He added that it would be good for more laptops to be donated to support the initiative in the school.

He therefore called for support, especially UGBS alumni, to donate laptops towards the campaign.
