Two children burnt to ashes in East Legon fire outbreak

A fire outbreak at East Legon in the Greater Accra Region has led to the death of two children aged five and eight.

Rainbow Radio 87.5fm gathered that the two minors were burnt beyond recognition while they were asleep.

Nana King, an Uncle to the two children, confirmed the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem, saying the parents of the two children were caretakers of the facility razed down by the fire.

He said the incident occurred on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Rast Legon, Salem Junction.

He described the incident as terrible for the family, especially the parents.

He revealed that his brother, who lost his children, called him at dawn screaming that his children were burning.

He described the fire as a raging one and efforts to rescue the children failed.

He stated that by the time the Fiore Service arrived,d the damage had already been done.

Meanwhile, the father of the two children has also lost his mother and we are preparing to bury her next month and so my brother is devastated.
