Suspect in Ho-Fiave murder case disguised himself as a ‘mad man’ to escape arrest-Police

It has emerged that the suspect who allegedly murdered his fiancee and kept her body in a freezer at Ho-Fiave disguised himself like a mentally challenged man to escape arrest.

The Police say its preliminary investigation has disclosed that the suspect was last seen by residents dressed as a mentally unstable man in the area.

Public Relations Officer of Volta Regional Police Command, DSP Efia Tenge told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 the media that investigations were still ongoing.

She said before residents got to know the suspect had committed the crime, he had already gone on the run.

He appealed to the public to help the Police apprehend the suspect.

She clarified that the body of the deceased was not severed as reported earlier.

She indicated that the body was intact when it was discovered and they are currently awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, she has revealed the Police Service continues to engage the bereaved family in Zambia to bring finality to the case.

The suspect who is identified by several names is currently on the run but she assured the public he would be arrested.

He is identified by some as Frank, and to others, Emmanuel.

In addition, some documents accessed by the Service reveal that he bears the name Augustine Fiagbedzi.
