Stop comparing me to Ebony, I’m unique-Nikki Banks

24-year-old dancehall / Afropop / afrobeat singer, Nikki Banks, known as Berlinda Asabea, who is signed under the record label (Double flex entertainment) has expressed his displeasure at the way people compare to Ebony.

Appearing on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the female musician said she is unique in her own way hence it makes no logical sense for people to say she is copying the late dancehall artiste.

Nikki Banks told Fiffi Pratt she is not happy because people keep saying she wants to be like the late musician, but that is not true.

”I have heard people compare me to Ebony. Some even say I am trying to behave like her or even copy her. I am always disturbed when they do that. We learn from others, but we don’t copy them. That is how I am. Even when Ebony was alive, I was singing and so, I see no reason why people keep saying I am behaving like her.”

Nikki Banks told the host she had dreams of becoming a star and from what has seen so far, she believes she is on the right track.
