Shatta did not work with the right people on his Kumerica agenda-Yaw Dan
Music curator at Boomplay Yaw Dan has stated that Shatta Wale did not connect or work with the right personalities in his attempt to support the Kumerica agenda.
In his view, the self-acclaimed dancehall king did not identify the originators of the Kumerica craze despite his good intentions.
Shatta Wale before visiting Krofrom was reportedly issued a warning by a group of youth to stay away from the neighbourhood.
According to the youth, they are irritated by the4 musician’s failure to attend the funeral of his late acquaintance, Junior US, a native of Krofrom who was murdered in the United States in May last year.
Reacting to this on Rainbow Entertainment, Yaw Dan said ”personal I am of the view that the boys pushing the culture; I like t6he fact that he [Shatta] is trying to support the boys from Kumasi but the boys really p[ushing the culture, I did not see them when he went to Kumasi. I didn’t Kweku OMC, I didn’t see O’Kenneth.”
”It means, the Kumasi artistes living in Accra are those that he worked with. If he really wanted to influence the culture, he would have worked with the right people.”
