Resign & hand over if you’re frustrated-Otokunor to Prez

Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Boamah Otokunor has slammed President Akufo-Addo for asking the Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area to “complete” the abandoned E-block community day senior high school in the area himself if he is frustrated about the delay.

The NDC deputy scribe said the response from the President was not only terrible but unfortunate.

On Wednesday, October 20, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V gave the Education Minister a four-month ultimatum to finish the building for use.

The school, built during the Mahama administration is almost 90 per cent complete.

However, the project has stalled, and the Chief believes if completed, it would help the community.

The project has some 26 classrooms and five departments.

But reacting, the President quizzed, “Is he the one going to give the Minister of Education ultimatum?”

President Akufo-Addo went on to state that his government is resolved to continue projects started by his predecessor.

“For some of the projects definitely we will ready ourselves and complete them. But, as much as possible, I have given you these examples for you to see that despite the propaganda [we are working on them],” he stated.
But the NDC officer wants President Akufo-Addo to resign and hand over power.

He asked the President to hand over power if he was frustrated and unhappy about how he has been criticised.

”Hello Mr. Akufo Addo, if you are frustrated by the peoples’ dissatisfaction of your rule, resign and over over the power now.”
