Renovation works at Kumasi Sports Stadium to completed in October-NSA boss

National Sports Authority boss Prof. Twumasi has disclosed that renovations at Kumasi Baba Yara sports stadium will be completed in October.

Speaking to Isaac Wallace (Kululu Man) on Rainbow sports the Director-General of National sports said despite the partial lockdown in the country due to the COVID-19 outbreak, works are still ongoing at the Baba Yara sports stadium and hopefully by October, the contractor should hand over the facility to the government.

According to Prof. Twumasi, renovation of all the sports stadiums is a good transformation for all the sports disciplines and that they are maintaining the pitches to ensure the facilities are in good shape before football returns.

The contractor is still working and by October we expect him to be done with the work he added.

When asked if the sports ministry can complete the sports complexes they promised in all the regions despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Director-General said they are hopeful the mini complexes as promised will be ready by end of the year and will be accessible to all sporting disciplines.
