The General Overseer of Yehowa Beye Ptayer Ministry Prophet Nana Yaw Osei Tutu has claimed that President Akufo-Addo is under pressure from external powers not to sign the anti-LGBTQI+ bill into law should parliament pass it.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said the President and some MPs who are opposing the bill are doing so for monetary gains.
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that even if the bill is passed into law, it will gather dust because the President would not sign it into law.
He said, all the religious and traditional groups in Ghana have spoken against it but the pressure being mounted on President Akufo-Addo from external forces will make it difficult for him to sign it into law.
”There is pressure on Akufo-Addo not to sign the bill if it is passed by parliament. If we joke, our leaders will not pass the bill. Some of them have gone for money from the promoters of LGBTQI+ activities.
He went on to state that the lawyers and academicians who are opposing the bill are nation wreckers, evil and not true Ghanaians who value family life.
Homosexuality, he explained, is demonic, and those who support it are agents of the devil.
