Some newly-trained but yet to be employed teachers are calling on the government to fast-track the processes for their postings before the year comes to an end.
The trained teachers are wondering why other public organizations continue to recruit workers or personnel but posting of newly trained teachers was yet to be done.
The leader of the affected teachers, George Kuncham said several efforts to get them posted have proved futile.
The affected teachers he noted are currently frustrated over the matter.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said the postings should have been ready since September but they have not heard from authorities.
As of now, we don’t know anything about employment. We have waited for several months and yet, we have seen nothing.
He has therefore urged the government to give financial clearance so their members would be posted so they would start working.
“We have engaged the Ministry of Finance and they gave us hopes that financial clearance would be given. But after the hopes were given, we have not heard anything from them.”
He also questioned why the Ghana Education Service has not addressed the matter.
He said the ongoing matter is demoralizing the teachers and until they have been posted, they will not relent in their efforts.
He stated that they were trained to teach and there is no other job they can do, hence it would be important for the government to post them to deliver them from their mental frustration.
