Physical distancing ignored at registration centres
Reports filed by correspondents of Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm has revealed that social distancing is not being observed in the various registration centres across the country.
Although the Electoral Commission (EC) has made provision for hand-washing facilities and safety protocols, social distancing is not being observed.
Persons who had lined to register were not observing the social distancing rules.
For the face masks, the majority of registrants were seen wearing theirs despite the fact that others were not in their face masks.
The voter registration exercise is being held at about 6,788 clusters made up of five registration centres each.
According to the EC, 33,367 registration centres will be situated within the country for the exercise.
The exercise is expected to be conducted in phases, each spanning six days.
Aside from that, 7,000 health assistants have been deployed by the Ghana Health Service to help ensure that safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
