Parliament approves €133.3million for Sunyani water supply project

The legislative house of Ghana has today, Thursday, 8th of October, 2020 given approval to a commercial contract agreement between the government of Ghana represented by the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and Ghana water company limited and LR group for an amount € 133,332,500 for the Sunyani water supply expansion project phase 1.

Speaking to the media after the house’s approval, the deputy minister for Sanitation and water resources Hon Patrick Boamah express his profound gratitude to the house and also to the president for taking his “water for all project” to the people of Sunyani and it’s environs.

He said the water project will benefit the people of Sunyani East, Sunyani West, Tano South and Tano South all in the Bono and Ahafo regions.

The deputy minister for Sanitation and Water Resources also laid paper before Parliament a contract agreement of Seventy million euros( €70, 000,000.00) to finance Sekondi- Takoradi water supply rehabilitation and expansion project.
