Nhyiraba Foundation organizes gala in Nkawkaw

The Nhyiraba Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO), has successfully organized the 4th edition of the annual football gala in Nkawkaw.

The gala is an annual event organized by the foundation to promote unity in the community.

Five teams, namely Wawase Team A, Wesiwesi, Odumasi, Denkyera, and Wawase Team B, participated.

After a fierce contest, Wesiwesi won the tournament and was given a trophy and a cash of GHc200.

Wawase Team A came second and was given GHc250 with a football.

Wawase Team B came third and received GHc200 and a football.

The other two teams received GHc100 each and footballs for participating in the gala.

Founder of the Foundation Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, who is the Nkosuohene of Nkawkaw Wawase and an astute journalist of Rainbow Radio International disclosed the gala forms part o09f efforts to unite the communities.

According to him, the Foundation will continue to support the vulnerable in society and engage in other projects for the various communities.

He explained the Foundation was established to offer support to the needy and over the years, it has lived up to that objective.

He admonished the communities to eschew all forms of violence and evil and rather concentrate on issues that will help transform the town and give it a good name.
