NDC will win majority seats in Parl-NDC MP
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Buem constituency Mr. Daniel Kwasi Ashiamah has expressed strong optimism the party will win the majority of seats in parliament come December 7 general elections.
In an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.56Fm, the legislator noted the defeat of some NPP sitting MPs in the party’s primaries is a clear indication that the current administration will lose the majority of the seats in the parliamentary race.
He said per the outcome of the NPP primaries,s if the new candidates are unable to play the political game on the ground, it will badly affect them.
This, he noted will go the advantage of the NDC.
He, has, however, advised the NDC not to be complacent in their campaign.
According to him, the party must put their shoulders to the wheel and ensure the victory of the party
”On that note, I think the NDC will win the majority of the seats in parliament. But what we need as a party is to work hard. We must not be complacent. We must work hard to win the 2020 general elections.”
He further added the current president is threatened by the defeat he will encounter come December 7 hence using the military to intimidate eligible voters from registering to exercise their right to vote.
To him, the president feels threatened by the endorsement Ghanaians have given the NDC and their candidate and is on a mission to thwart the efforts of the party in winning the polls.
