NDC suspends Mion Chairman for anti-party behaviour
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Northern Executive Committee has suspended its Mion Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Abdulai Zakaria.
According to the NDC, the officer was suspended after he was found guilty of breach of Oath of Office as provided in article 48(8) of the party’s Constitution.
Some party officers in April this year submitted a petition against the Chairman for anti-party conduct.
He was also accused of behaviour contributing to the NDC’s losing the Mion seat.
The petitioners further submitted an audio recording in which the suspended officer was heard encouraging voters to vote against the NDC’s interest, the party explained.
