Management of KNUST abolishes JCR system

The JCR system at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been abolished by the school’s administration.

The administration made the decision in response to recent campus violence.

With this decision, the school has put a hold on student elections for hall executives.

Furthermore, any student caught harbouring a rusticated, dismissed, or former student of the school will be expelled.

The sanctions were included in a statement that communicated management’s decision following the chaos that erupted at the school last week.
