Ken Attafuah was reckless, he must apologize to Prez, footsoldiers-Akonoba
Ablekuma Central New Patriotic Party’s youth organizer Isaac Asare has taken Prof. Ken Attafuah to the cleaners over the latter’s claim that President Akufo-Addo instructed him not to appoint party persons to the National Identification Authority (NIA).
He said the NIA boss was reckless and politically unwise and dragged the President in the mud, and has made him a target for attacks.
He has since asked him to come public and apologize for the reckless statement.
The NIA boss, in a recent interview, disclosed that he received express instruction not to appoint NPP executives to the NIA.
This is because the president wants to end the practice of staffing critical state institutions with party footsoldiers, he noted.
But Akonoba says the NIA boss did not act professionally and was not sure the President would have given him such an instruction.
He added the NIA boss should understand that it was not only just his competence that got him the job and should be guided by that.
