Judiciary to investigate the bribery allegation against SC judge

The Judiciary says it has taken note of an allegation of bribery against a judge of the apex court by National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak and will probe it.

The Judiciary has announced it will engage him further on the matter which some say has dragged the name of the judiciary into the mud.

The MP for Asawase last week alleged that a Supreme Court judge attempted bribing a female MP of the NDC to vote for Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye as Speaker.

He alleged that the said judge promised the MP several goodies including free fuel for four years and scholarships for her wards.

He however failed to mention the name of the said judge but promised he was ever ready to provide the details should he be invited by the Judiciary.
