I’ve no interest in the presidency, I only want Mahama back-Sam George to Gabby

The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Sam Nartey George has reacted to Gabby Otchere Darko’s description of him as a populist who could easily win the presidency if the contest was about popularity.

Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko took a swipe at Ghanaian lawmaker Sam George over his interest in the anti-LGBTQI+ bill.

The outspoken lawyer reacting to the lawmaker’s interest in ensuring that a bill is passed to criminalize all forms of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex plus (LGBTQI+) stated that if the presidential race was all about populism and popularity, the lawmaker would have won.

In a tweet, lawyer Otchere Darko said the NDC has found its presidential candidate in Sam George who represents the people of Ningo-Prampram.

“If politics is all about populism & popularity then I have fantastic news for the NDC: they have found their next presidential candidate & he is the MP for Ningo Prampram #SamGeorge. Young, articulate, driven, bold, & extremely popular. The main sponsor of the anti-LBGTQI Bill.”

In another tweet, Mr. Otchere Darko quizzed if the Ghanaian society was a victim of false identification.

“Is the Ghanaian society today a victim of a false ‘identitarian monomania’ and reality denialism or what we are seeing is an inevitable but belated wake-up call to a growing cultural adulteration or a timeous attempt to identify a weak and common ‘enemy’ to unite society against.”

But reacting Sam George said he was not interested in the presidency.

According to him, he was only interested in delivering his mandate as an MP and that he was interested in seeing the return of former President John Mahama to cone and deliver Ghanaians from the incompetence of President Akufo-Addo.

His tweet rad: “Dear @GabbyDarko, I am completely focused on delivering my mandate to the people of Ningo-Prampram. I wholeheartedly endorse the return of @JDMahama to rescue our Country from the abysmal presidency of your cousin @NAkufoAddo. Cheers. 🦁”
