I’ve been raped but cannot report it because it might stop my soon to husband from marrying me-Lady

A young lady who is preparing to marry (name withheld) has narrated how a friend of her brother raped her.

Sharing her story on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, she disclosed that the alleged rapist called her over to discuss something with her.

Not sensing danger, the victim went to see him.

But upon arriving at the scene, the alleged rapist grabbed and pushed her on his bed, and when she questioned him, the young man told her he wanted to have sex with her.

The victim said she struggled with her alleged rapist but he overpowered her.

“I screamed for help but no one came to my rescue. There were several persons around the area but no one came to my rescue and he raped me,” she added.

She told host Kwabena Agyapong that the rapist attacked and held her heck and “I thought he was going to kill me so I stopped struggling with him until he did what he did with me without my consent”.

When asked if she had reported the issue to the Police, she said no because she feels it might stop her marriage plan with her would-be husband.

After the incident, “I confronted some of the residents in the area and asked why they did not come to my rescue and they claimed not to have heard any noise and they mistook what they heard as noise from men fighting.

She told the host she left her purse in the room and asked one other guy to pick it for her but her attacker told the person he would return it later.

“I wanted to report the issue but I am scared. I don’t know-how to go about it,” she added.

Meanwhile, the alleged rapist is still pursuing and confronting her.

“He keeps knocking on my door and I don’t why he is doing that. He’s confronting all the time. Because of him, I am always indoors and kick myself up to ignore him,” she lamented.
