Investigation into Opera Square fire begins

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has begun investigations into the fire outbreak at Opera Square in Accra on Monday, April 25, 2022.

An officer with the Public Relations Department Timothy Affum said the cause of the fire had not been determined, but the probe will help determine that.

According to him, containing the fire was difficult for the firemen.

He disclosed that they managed to contain the fire on the first and second floors but that the third floor was consumed by the fire.

Several A wholesale shops at MOOVED Home Appliances at Opera Square in Accra, opposite Melcom in the Central Business District, got burnt on Monday.

Items such as bags, shoes, and other home appliances have been burnt down to ashes.
