Stop Insulting Ghanaians & fix the country-MP to Annoh-Dompreh
The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri Frank Annoh-Dompreh has incurred the wrath of some personalities for his reaction to the ‘Fix The Country’ campaign.
The MP reacting to the viral campaign described persons calling for the action as ‘Gyimie’ saying they don’t pay their taxes, politicise every policy, receive a bribe, enjoy illegal connections and don’t respect their leaders and yet calling for fixing.
The MP further slammed people he said have overpriced their goods and services, destroy state property, don’t keep their environment clean, don’t go to work on time, don’t buy anything Ghanaian, chase teenagers who are even young to be their daughters and even cheat on their husbands and wives.
To him, these persons would have to fix themselves first before asking for the country to be fixed.
But reacting, his colleague MP from the opposite side Dr. Clement Apaak said he feels disappointed and scorned that a respected would make such comments.
He said Ghanaians have the right to demand for better leadership because they voted for a man who stole his way through power.
”You have the power, illegitimate as it is, you have it. Fix it Mr. Akufo-Addo.
And please Hon. Annoh Dompre you and your government should stop making excuses. Just fix the mess, that is what Ghanaians are asking for. Fix the country!”

I’m disappointed at the scorn and insulting reply by leading members of the NPP, including otherwise very respected and tolerant ones like Hon. Annoh Dompre, the Majority Chief whip, to Ghanaians for asking the President to fix the country.
Why should you insult Ghanaians for calling on Akufo-Addo to fix the country?
Is it not the right of Ghanaians to hold elected leadership, the people they have entrusted with their power and pay taxes to, even as illegitimate as they are, accountable, and to ask them to work at improving their conditions?
The very issues the Hon. Annoh Dompre and other leading members of the NPP have catalogued, and wish to dump on citizens as part of their excuse for the messy situation in Ghana today were those they said they needed the power to fix when they needed power.
You have the power, illegitimate as it is, you have it. Fix it Mr. Akufo-Addo.
And please Hon. Annoh Dompre you and your government should stop making excuses. Just fix the mess, that is what Ghanaians are asking for. Fix the country!
