I’m qualified to be an SC judge & Prez so why not SP-Kissi Agyebeng
Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng, the nominee for the Office of Special Prosecutor, has slammed critics who have described him as too young for the office.
The nominee says persons making the claims do not know what they are talking about.
The 43-year-old lawyer told Parliament’s Vetting Committee that his age qualifies him to be the President of the Republic of Ghana, therefore, the claims by his critics have no basis.
Lawyer Agyebeng stressed his experience is an open book and in the public for all to see.
He said he is an age-mate of the President of the French Republic and even a year older than the Minister for Justice and Attorney General do Ghana, Godfred Dame.
The lawyer added there is no question about the AG’s age, so why then is there a question about his [Agyebeng’s] age.
He went on to state that he was qualified to be a Supreme Court judge and was three years past the qualification for the apex court.
As someone who has thought criminal law for 15 years continuously, and his record is evident for all to see, he insisted to be qualified.
He mentioned the names of some MPs on the Vetting Committee to tout his achievement as an experienced lecturer and lawyer.
