I’m proud of my achievements despite the failures-Akwasi Ernest

Celebrated music producer AKwasi Ernest has admitted that it is not all musicians that an artiste manager manages that will succeed.

This he stated is a key factor every artiste manager must know despite the successes that might be chalked.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with DJ Slash on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Mr. Kwesi Ernest said failures are part of every success chalked and even professional doctors who have been celebrated sometimes err in their work.

He was however quick to add that he feels proud of his achievements as an artiste manager.

According to him, musicians such as Ohemaa Mercy, Becca, Joyce Blessing, SP Kofi Sarpong and other top musicians have passed through his hands.

With his experience of managing over 20 musicians, Akwasi Ernest disclosed it takes a lot of sacrifices and dedication to manage musicians because there are some who will succeed and celebrate you for making them shine but they are others who will curse you when they are unable to shine through your hands.

”There some musicians who will celebrate and thank you when are able to manage and make them succeed. There are some will curse you at every opportunity they get should they fail in your hands. But that is what Ghanaians don’t know. Failure is part of the job and when you understand this philosophy, you will know what to do,” he added.

He also noted it is not about money but the expertise.

He explained even with a billion dollars as an artiste manager, if you do not have the expertise, you cannot succeed.

”You need expertise and not just money. To succeed as an artiste manager, you need to have the expertise although money is important,” he said.
