I’II unseat Okaikwei Central MP-Aspirant
An aspiring parliamentary candidate in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in Okaikwei Central Constituency has vowed to unseat the incumbent MP Mr. Patrick Boamah.
Nii Commetey Quartey in an interview with Kwabena Agyapong on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm said the party’s front is divided hence they need a unifier to make the victory of the NPP easier this election year.
He said, the current MP has done his part, but at this point, we need someone who can lobby, and push for development for the people.
”He has done his part, but I strongly believe I would perform better than he has done when given the nod,” he added.
He described the electoral promises in the upcoming primaries as good and expressed optimism he would come out successful.
He promised to engage constituents at all times before embarking on any developmental project in the constituents.
”The election is about ideas, peace and unity. We do not have to engage in lawlessness. As an elder of my church, I always preach about peace, and that is what I expect our supporters to do. We have to avoid any form of lawlessness and put in our efforts to improve our electoral fortunes this year,” he appealed.
