Ghana to begin National Roaming exercise soon-Minister
The Communications and Digitization Minister Ursula Owusu-Erkuful has announced that Ghana will soon start a national roaming service.
The service if successful will allow mobile users to have their network switched automatically to other available networks in areas where their sim cards have no coverage.
According to the Minister, one does not need to have multiple sim cards from different providers should the exercise begin.
She took to her Facebook to announce this saying: ”Ghana to START a National roaming service/ Interoperability where in areas your network provider has no coverage, your sim is automatically ported unto the available network for the period of time you are within the no coverage area.
This means one do not need to own several sim cards from different Network Providers.”
