Ghana has so far recorded 9 suspected cases of Coronavirus-GHS
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed that Ghana has recorded a total of nine suspected cases of the coronavirus infection.
However, all the cases have tested negative after samples of the persons involved were examined.
The nine cases according to the GHS include the two cases reported at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday.
A statement from the GHS said “We wish to provide assurance to the people of Ghana that the Government, Ministry of Health/Ghana Health Service working in collaboration with partners are doing everything possible to prevent and protect against the importation of the virus into the country and prevent spread,” the two health institutions said in a short release.
28,280 confirmed cases of the virus have been recorded and 565 deaths globally.
