GFA announced several goodies for clubs at the 28th Conference- Brekum Chelsea

Nana Oduro Safo, Director of Brekum Chelsea Football Club, has stated that the resolutions made at the Ghana Football Association’s 28th conference were fruitful.

He claims that the conference is the GFA’s highest decision-making body and that it is where stakeholders convene to discuss issues.

He stated that while people usually accuse the GFA of not being transparent, the conference serves as a forum for such issues to be addressed.

He told the Rainbow Sports team that the Club was generally pleased with the issues discussed at the conference.

Nana Oduro Safo stated that several issues were discussed and that there were a lot of goodies for the club.

“There were a few treats for the clubs. I am confident that the bonuses will benefit the women’s league, the Premier League, the RFA, and other leagues. Previously, the RFA was only given Ghc3,200 to run activities, which was insufficient, but the funding has been increased by more than 99% to Ghc10,000.”

He went on to say that another plus was the increase in allowances for RFA officials, who now receive Ghc2,000 instead of Ghc150.

He also stated that the Women’s Football has received a significant boost, with three coaches being identified to travel outside of Ghana for capacity building courses.
