GES, GHS joint statement on guidelines on vacation for final year students

The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) have through a joint statement stated that schools where no COVID-19 case has been recorded should final year students vacate and go home.

The statement comes after the completion of the WASSCE for final year students.

Any school that has recorded a positive case but has not reported new positive case within the last two weeks, have also been asked to vacate so the students can go home.

Schools that have recorded positive cases in the last two weeks will have their vacation delayed for assessment and observation before they can go home, the statement added.
