Freddie Blay rallies support for NPP in Western & Central regions

The National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Hon. Freddie Blay is in the Central and Western Regions as part of his tour of the country.

In the company of his delegation, he engaged the regional and constituency leadership of the Party in Cape Coast and Takoradi to assess the preparedness of the Campaign machinery in the regions to deliver a decisive victory for the NPP on December 7. Hon. Freddie Blay expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian people for the mandate given by the Party to serve the good people of Ghana in the last 4 years.

The National Chairman conceded that 4 years was such a short time for the NPP government-led policies under the leadership of H. E Nana Addo to impact on the lives of every single citizen.

“The last 4 years have been sufficient time to demonstrate to Ghanaians our commitment towards growing a robust economy in addition to providing significant social interventions”.

He called on the rank and file of the Party to remain united and spread the news about the good deeds of the NPP’s first term in government. He pleaded with all those who may still be hurting from happenings of the past to bury their differences and unite strongly behind the NPP’s Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates.

Touching on the fight against coronavirus, the National Chairman commended H. E Nana Addo for the many initiatives taken by his government in the last 8 months to ease the hardship brought about by COVID 19 on the citizens.

The National Chairman acknowledged the huge responsibility the NPP shouldered in delivering on its manifesto commitments in the last four years. He indicated that due to the high expectation of the Ghanaian people in an NPP Government, H.E Nana Addo and Government have been very mindful in impacting significantly on every single sector of the Ghanaian economy.

He encouraged all executive members at the constituency and regional levels not to be complacent but to intensify campaigning from house to house, store to store, fitting shop to fitting shop over the next few days. “Let us remain united in telling the good people of Ghana our great achievements in the last four years”.

The National Chairman urged all participants to remain vigilant on the election day, but indicated that our vigilance must not result in violence.

He was accompanied by some Government Officials including Dr. Charles Dwamena, Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to China; Dr. Dominic Eduah, the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation; and Dr. Richard Asante, Government’s Spokesperson on Infrastructure.
