Five persons have allegedly been murdered at Nyinawusu in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
The gruesome incident allegedly happened at the Chief palace in the community, Rainbowradioonline.com has gathered.
The five were part of six persons arrested by an angry mob who accused them of robbery and illegal mining activities.
The victims were manhandled by the residents of Nyinawusu on Thursday, December 16, 2021until the Chief of the area Nana Adu Tutu I intervened.
However, the angry mob said they will not allow the suspected robbers to be rescued or taken to the Police station.
The chief said he had to call the Police to intervene.
But the residents attacked the Police who later had to run for their lives.
The chief then took the suspects to the palace where the angry residents stormed there and attacked the palace.
He noted that the residents destroyed properties in his palace, broke into the rooms where the suspects were kept, and allegedly killed them.
One of the suspects he noted escaped but the situation has escalated.
He also revealed one of them was beheaded by the angry mob.
According to him, the community where the deceased persons are from have declared war on his people.
He said the residents in that community have threatened to kill his people.
He has therefore asked the police to deploy personnel to his community to maintain law and order.
