First Lady Commissions Health Centre at Kwame Anum

First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo on 1st September 2020, commissioned a Health Centre at Kwame Anum in the Ga Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The 16-bed facility which was constructed by the Infanta Malaria Prevention Foundation, which I co-founded in 2005, is fitted with an outpatient department, a delivery room, labour ward, a reproductive and Child health area, two consulting rooms, a pharmacy, a laboratory, and administrative offices.

It will provide services to a population of about 30,000 people within the Obom Domeabra constituency of the Ga South Municipality, with about 8,500 patients expected to be attended​ to in its first year.

The Kwame Anum Health Centre, will also provide lifesaving and essential services such as immunization against the 13 childhood killer diseases and provide care in maternal, child health, and ​nutrition.
