Engage now Africa dialogues with stakeholders in Ada on ‘modern day slavery’

Engage Now Africa (ENA) a non-governmental organization has called on the stakeholders to collaborate with them to create awareness of human trafficking.

Mr. Afasi Komla, the Director of Engage Now Africa (ENA), said ENA is a community-based entity that is against modern slavery.

He made the remarks at an engagement with the elders of Ada on how best to find solutions aimed at ending modern slavery in the area.

Mr. Afasi noted the readiness of ENA in giving the necessary support to the community, adding that children and women are the most vulnerable when it comes to modern slavery.

“We have to protect everyone against the scars of human trafficking in our country”. He added.

He, therefore, called on traditional leaders to partner with them to end modern slavery.

On his part, Nana Amoako Darko, Suhum Akyeampimhene together with his queenmother and elders pledged their support to Engage Now Africa to end modern slavery.

He appealed to traditional leaders to join hands together to conquer modern-day slavery.
