E-Levy will create more jobs, support it-Prez
President Akifo-Addo has argued that the proposed Electronic levy being introduced by his administration for the introduction m in the 2022 budget statement will create more jobs.
In a tweet, the number one gentleman posited that the proposal will among other things, reduce Ghana’s dependence on debt.
“The e-levy will provide Government with revenue to build more roads, provide more jobs and opportunities for the youth and reduce our dependence on debt,” the President said.
Beginning today, Thursday, January 27, 2022, the government is is holding a Town Hall Meeting on the E-Levy.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on at 2pm.
It forms part of engagements that the government wants to embark on to explain reasons why the levy has been introduced..
Meanwhile, The Majority Leader in Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu urged all Members of Parliament to participate in all the processes leading to the passage of the E-levy.
