Driver found dead in his taxi

A taxi driver in his late 40s Yaw Amoah has been found dead in his taxi with his body in a decomposing state at Breman in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region.

Reporting the incident from the area, Filasco stated that the driver was discovered in his taxi after his family had searched for him since last week Friday.

Details available showed that after he closed from work on Friday, he parked his car at his usual spot and went to buy a drink from a shop in the area.

The owner of the shop, who is said to be the queenmother, realised the driver was drunk and advised him to stay away from drunk driving.

The driver later retired to his car and locked himself up.

After several days, his family realised he did not come home after work on Friday.

They mounted a search for him but all to no avail.

They later discovered his car had been parked at the usual spot and informed the assemblyman of the area.

He led them to the scene and discovered blood was coming out of the car and an awful smell from the taxi.

The Police were informed, the car was unlocked, and the lifeless body of the driver was discovered in the back of the car.
