Don’t stress yourself in meeting expectations this Christmas, it could affect your mental health-Authority

The Mental Health Authority has asked Ghanaians to be mindful of the stress they could go through in meeting the expectations of others this festive season.

A statement issued by the Authority noted it would not be healthy for people to go through too much stress this season just to meet the expectations of others.

It said such stress could affect their mental health.

The statement further asked the public to be happy and extend their happiness to others since it could help with their mental health.

It also asked those with the resources to celebrate Christmas to be measured in their celebrations.

The Authority urged the public to share with the needy as they celebrate the festive season.

Meanwhile, it has advised the public to be reminded of the spread of the Omicron variant, observe the protocols to help contain the spread.
