COVID-19: CBG assures customers of safety

The Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited (GBG) has assured customers of the bank it is putting in place measures to ensure their safety in the face of the confirmation of two cases in Ghana.

The bank through a series of messages to their customers said it has in place measures at all branches nationwide and ATMS to ensure their safety.

”Dear Valued Customer, with the breaking news of COVID-19 in Ghana, CBG assures you that we are putting in place measures to ensure your health and safety in all branches/ATMS and your comfort in doing business with us,” the message sent to customers read.

Ghana has confirmed two cases of COVID-19 on March 12, 2020, being the first cases to be reported in the country.

The Ministry of Health disclosed in a statement on Thursday that the two confirmed cases were received at the same time from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research.

The two individuals returned to Ghana from Norway and Turkey. So they are imported cases of COVID-19, the statement said.
