COVID-19: 143 New cases recorded

Ghana has recorded 143 new cases increasing our active case count to 831 after 143 new cases were recorded.

Update provided by the Ghana Health Service indicates that 42,898 persons out of a cumulative total of 45,012 have recovered from the illness.

The GHS says 17,805 of the cases were detected through routine surveillance and 27,207 were detected through enhanced contact tracing.

So far, 283 persons have died after contracting the virus.

A total of 16 persons have severe cases of Coronavirus while six (three on ventilators) are said to be in critical condition.
