CORONAVIRUS: We’ve been asked not to step out-Ghanaians in Wuhan
Ghanaians in China specifically Wuhan have been asked to stay indoors due to the outbreak If the Coronavirus.
Our sources in China told Rainbowradfioonline.com that the city is still on lockdown with many shops closed.
The Ghanaian also told us that before they were asked to remain indoors, they were forced to purchase foodstuffs and other groceries to maintain them until the situation is brought under control.
“Well just after they announced about they lockdown I went to get some foodstuffs and since then i haven’t been outside, ” the person said.
From information gathered further, Wuhan is in lockdown with residents faced with some basic challenges, such as how to find food.
The severe restrictions on the city’s 11 million residents, has been designed to prevent the spread of the disease.
Residents in the area are complaining of food our sources have said.
The coronavirus outbreak has killed at least 362 people and infected more than 17,300 globally, as it continues to spread beyond China.
The virus has been confirmed in more than 25 countries and territories since it was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December.
