Chinese nationale who stabbed to death compatriot arrested

The Ashanti Regional Immigration Command has arrested a Chinese national, Wei Yanwen for allegedly a compatriot at Asankragwa in the Western Region.

He was declared wanted by the police after he went into hiding.

According to a statement by the Public Relations Unit, the suspect was arrested in the late hours of Tuesday, February 12, 2020, at a hideout at Adiembra, a suburb of Kumasi.

Two accomplices who are also Chinese nationals, Li Daojian and Huang Xuwu were also apprehended, the statement said.

The suspect allegedly stabbed to death a Chinese businessman Lee Buau, at Asankragwa on January 24, 2020, and went into hiding after that.
