ChaLoG wants W/R Minister dismissed with immediate effect
The Chamber for Local Governance (ChaLoG) is appealing to President Akufo-Addo to with immediate effect revoke the appointment of the Western Regional Minister Mr. Kobby Otchere Darko-Mensah.
The Chamber says it has assessed and analysed the conduct of the Minister before, during and after the confirmation of the MCE for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly Hon. Benjamin Kesse, and has come to the firm conclusion that he acted in a reckless, irresponsible and lawless manner.
It is, therefore, their submission that the Minister is not fit for purpose as a Regional Minister to coordinate the activities of the MMDAs in the region and should be dismissed by the President with immediate effect.
President of the Chamber Dr. Richard Fiadomor in an interview with Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm also accused the Minister of bringing in police officers to harass and intimidate assembly members who were scheduled to confirm or deny the nomination of the MCE.
He said a Circuit court judge should have sworn-in the MCE. However, the MCE acted unlawfully by swearing him into office.
