CAS dismisses Palmer’s case against GFA

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed the appeal filed by Wilfred Kwaku Osei Palmer against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the decision of the GFA’s Normalisation Committee’s (NC) to disqualify him from contesting its Presidential elections.

The Swiss-based court in its ruling confirmed the decision of the GFA Elections to disqualify Palmer from contesting the polls.

Mr. Palmer was disqualified on the count of two charges which include the failure to pay transfer commission to the football association as well as failing an integrity test.

He then went to CAS seeking redress but his appeal has been dismissed.
