The National Communication Authority (NCA) has outlined modalities for businesses with multiple sim cards to re-register their sims.
Deputy Director, the Consumer and Corporate Affairs at the National Communication Authority (NCA), Mr. Kwame Gyan, speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, said such businesses would need their business registration documentation.
Aside from that, the business would also add the Ghana card of the Director of the company for the re-registration of all sim cards for the company.
He was speaking on the ongoing re-registration exercise, which started on October 1, 2021.
He justified that the re-registration exercise will guarantee us safety, security and reduce cybercrime and other related crimes.
The registration of mobile SIM cards STARTED on 1st October 2021.
The exercise, which will last for six months, will end on 31st March 2022.
Any SIM which is not registered at the end of this exercise will be blocked, according to the Minister.
The exercise is in a bid to rid the country’s cyberspace of fraud, monitor and track down persons who use their phones for criminal activities.
